Serve
In Matthew 22:36-40 Jesus says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart... soul... and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love you neighbor as yourself. All the Law
and Prophets hang on these two commandments." This is known as The Great Commandment.
Then in Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." This is known as The Great Commission.
Both the Great Commandment and Great Commission are Jesus' instructions to the church. Out of these scriptures we draw our core beliefs and 5 elements to a healthy church: Honor, Serve, Share, Connect, and Grow.

First Baptist Church Coppell exists to demonstrate God's Love. We do this by meeting needs with love.
We do this mainly through life groups. Your life group is your family. They are the first response needs that arise in your life. At FBC Coppell, every member is a minister. You do not have to be on staff to visit someone in the hospital, just go visit them.
SHAPE Class is a great way to gain more insight on how you are made to serve with your unique spiritual gifts, heart (passions), personality, abilities, and experiences. Check the calendar or email Shawn at sbettes@fbccoppell.org for information on the next SHAPE class.
