Update from Camp Gap

Just imagine a gymnasium filled with hundreds of kids screaming as their color group's name is called. Then two of the camp staff run to the stage with the spirit sticks in hand, the excitement in the room begins to grow as they announce each colors winner for the first day of camp. They call out the red group an our team, consisting of four other churches, erupts with a deafening cheer. Then as hundreds of tiny hand simulate a drum roll on their laps they announce the winner, "FBC Coppell!" as our kids scream even louder than before Nicolette Boaz runs to the stage to receive our team's prize. Upon arriving back to her seat she passes off to Emily Fields who then passes down the line o students from our church.

This is not only a fun event for the kids but as a camp shepherd and staff member at our church I was very proud of our students. The spirit stick is not just given out for having "spirit" or excitement, but it more so for sportsmanship and conduct while participating in the different rec rotations through out the previous day. So in short, WAY TO GO CHURCH FAMILY! We have great kids that are inviting students from other churches in to play games, eat at our lunch table, and to play pick up games of baseball and football during freetime! They are loving others and people are noticing it, so much so that they gave us a red piece of PVC Pipe (the spirit stick) to show it!

P.S. We found out at lunch today the spirit stick can also double as a very Annoying trumpet type thing! ;-)

	"body" => "<p>Just imagine a gymnasium filled with hundreds of kids screaming as their color group's name is called. Then two of the camp staff run to the stage with the spirit sticks in hand, the excitement in the room begins to grow as they announce each colors winner for the first day of camp. They call out the red group an our team, consisting of four other churches, erupts with a deafening cheer. Then as hundreds of tiny hand simulate a drum roll on their laps they announce the winner, "FBC Coppell!" as our kids scream even louder than before Nicolette Boaz runs to the stage to receive our team's prize. Upon arriving back to her seat she passes off to Emily Fields who then passes down the line o students from our church.<br><br>This is not only a fun event for the kids but as a camp shepherd and staff member at our church I was very proud of our students. The spirit stick is not just given out for having "spirit" or excitement, but it more so for sportsmanship and conduct while participating in the different rec rotations through out the previous day. So in short, WAY TO GO CHURCH FAMILY! We have great kids that are inviting students from other churches in to play games, eat at our lunch table, and to play pick up games of baseball and football during freetime! They are loving others and people are noticing it, so much so that they gave us a red piece of PVC Pipe (the spirit stick) to show it!<br><br>P.S.
