Day 3: Beach Camp (Part 1)

Tonight in the middle of our meal we took a few minutes to celebrate
the huge impact that Charley Hellmuth has had on our lives. In the
midst of eating our burgers and shrimp poboys we stopped for a few
minutes and gathered around Charley and gave him a bowl of ice cream
along with many thank yous and i love you'd because just A year ago
today Charley Hellmuth a.k.a. "Chuck or The Vanilla Gorilla" began his
first day of work at First Baptist Coppell. I am especially thankfuly
for this because it is through my relationship with Charley that I was
re-introduced to First Baptist Coppell and was given the opportunity
to serve as a member of the staff.
Over the last year we, as a church family, have embraced a new way to
look at youth ministry. It is no longer middle school and high school
but it has become one big family where we deal with things openly and
honestly. By doing this we have created a safe place for students and
their friends to come and be themselves and hopefully catch a glimpse
of who Christ really is through connecting, serving, sharing, growing
and worshiping together as a family. I would just like to take this
moment to say thank you to Chuck for letting God use him to share and
develop this environment that will leave a huge mark on the community
of Coppell, TX but to all the other communities that are students go
to and become a part of in the years to come.

In the <br>midst of eating our burgers and shrimp poboys we stopped for a few <br>minutes and gathered around Charley and gave him a bowl of ice cream <br>along with many thank yous and i love you'd because just A year ago <br>today Charley Hellmuth a.k.a. "Chuck or The Vanilla Gorilla" began his <br>first day of work at First Baptist Coppell. I am especially thankfuly <br>for this because it is through my relationship with Charley that I was <br>re-introduced to First Baptist Coppell and was given the opportunity <br>to serve as a member of the staff.</span></p><p><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: monospace; line-height: normal; font-size: 13px; "><br>Over the last year we, as a church family, have embraced a new way to <br>look at youth ministry. It is no longer middle school and high school <br>but it has become one big family where we deal with things openly and <br>honestly. By doing this we have created a safe place for students and <br>their friends to come and be themselves and hopefully catch a glimpse <br>of who Christ really is through connecting, serving, sharing, growing <br>and worshiping together as a family.
