Amazon PEACE Trip

We are excited to announce our 2010 Global PEACE opportunity as we are returning to the Amazon!  We will be continuing to develop our partnership with churches in the Amazon as we look at battling the five global giants in that area.

The five global giants being: Spiritual Darkness, Corrupt Government, Extreme Poverty, Pandemic Disease, and Illiteracy.  We will battle these giants through the PEACE plan: 

Promote Reconciliation- through teaching the gospel of Jesus reconciling people to God and each other.
Equip Servant Leaders- teaching Jesus model of leadership, which will transform their communities
Assist the poor- we will be looking at how we can equip the people to bring in income to support them, the local churches, ministry, and their communities.
Care for the Sick- looking at how we can battle and bring healing physically to the people. Many of the diseases they suffer from we already have cures for in America.
Educate the Next Generation- seeing how we can educate the children and adults teaching them to read, and teaching them the bible.

As one of our three global partnerships, the other two being the Sudan, and Rwanda in Africa, we are excited to see what God will do in the Amazon this summer.  The dates of the trip will be July 9 -19th, 2010.  If you have ever thought about going on a mission trip or this will be your 13th mission trip, this is a great trip for you to be a part.
