Age Graded Volunteers
The structure and function of volunteers for Age Graded Ministries can be described as a three legged stool. Each leg of the stool is necessary in every are of Age Graded Ministry: Preschool, Kids, Access, and Student Ministry. The legs of the stool that balance our function are Operations, Group Life, and Programming. Every area needs a director and other volunteers. You will see a list of them below.
PS = Preschool, K = Kids, A= Access, MS= Middle School, HS= High School, * = Current Need

Group Life:
Group Life Director
Oversee and develop all aspects of Life Groups for the individual areas of Age graded Ministries.
Time Commitment: 1-2 hrs weekly
*Life Group Leader Coach (PS, K, MS, HS)
Provide leadership and encouragement to a group of Life Group Leaders (Max 10-1 ratio)
Time Commitment: 2-4 hrs weekly
Life Group Leaders (K, A, MS, HS)
Lead a group of 4-6 students or 6-10 kids to grow spiritually and relationally
Time Commitment: 2-5 hrs weekly
Classroom Teacher (PS)
Lead a group of preschool kids in a classroom during a service
Time Commitment: 1 hr weekly or bi-weekly
Buddy (A)
Assist a student with special needs in general age-graded programming during Life Group
Time Commitment: 1-4 Sundays a month
Worship Hour Ministry Partner (A)
Teach and instruct a small group of children with disabilities during a worship service
Time Commitment: 1 Sunday a month
Programming:
Program Director
Oversee all programming elements for the individual elements of Age-Graded ministries. This is a major leadership role for someone who loves and is gifted at creating environments for kids and students and leading teams of volunteers.
Time Commitment: 3-4 hrs weekly
Greeters (PS, K, A, MS, HS)
Warmly greet and welcome parents and kids while also checking for proper check-in labels.
Time Commitment: 1 hr weekly or bi-weekly
Graphic Arts (MS, HS)
Develop graphics for powerpoint, posters, and publication medias
Time Commitment: 3-5 hrs weekly
Video Production
Create, film, and edit video bits for student ministry series, illustrations, and fun
Time Commitment: 3-5 hrs weekly
Retreat Coordinator (MS, HS)
Oversee and execute all details related to retreat events and "Post Games"...sign-ups to thank you notes afterward
Work with youth staff and volunteers to execute
Time Commitment: seasonal
Prayer Coordinator (PS, K, A, MS, HS)
Create and manage a gathering system for prayer requests from kids and students
Communicate regular updates to prayer list
Mobilize and manage a prayer team
Time Commitment: 2-3 hrs weekly
Parent Liaison (MS, HS)
Provide a parent's perspective and input to the ministry
Help communicate, organize, and mobilize other parents for the benefit of the ministry and its staff
Help make contact with new parents to help them plug into the church
Time Commitment: 1-2 hrs weekly
Check-In Coordinator (PS, K, MS, HS)
Manage weekly check-in process for all Age-Graded ministry programming
Time Commitment: 1 hr weekly or bi-weekly
Large Group Leader (K)
Creatively communicate the lesson intro and outro
Time Commitment: 1 hr weekly or bi-weekly
Worship Team Leader (K, MS, HS)
Develop, train, and encourage the worship volunteers
Time Commitment: 1 hr weekly
Worship Team (K, MS, HS)
Lead fun and engaging worship in Age-Graded programming
Time Commitment: 1 hr or bi-weekly
Tech Team Leader (K, MS, HS)
Develop, train, and encourage the tech volunteers
Time Commitment: 1 hr weekly or bi-weekly
Tech Team (K, MS, HS)
Operate lights, sound, and computer during large group
Time Commitment: 1 hr weekly or bi-weekly
Special Event Team (A)
Plan, coordinate, and execute events for families with special needs
Time Commitment: 4-8 hrs monthly
Community Awareness Partner (A)
Attend community events and promote Access
Time Commitment: 1 time every three months
Baby Team (PS)
Serve families with new arrivals (expecting arrival board, stork placement, meal coordination, baby dedication, etc.)
Time Commitment: as needed
Operations:
Operations Director
Oversee the operations elements for the individual elements of Age-Graded minsitries. This is a major leadership role for someone who loves and is gifted with details and administration and are able to execute the "finite" parts of the ministry areas. Time Commitment: 2-3 hrs weekly
Student Center Coordinator
Coordinate all things student center... everything from snack and drink stock to party rentals. Coordinating scheduling and calendar of events between all those who use the space.
Time Commitment: 2-4 hrs weekly
Communication Coordinator
Create, manage, and execute regular and consistent information about all things student ministry related. (Announcements, parents, events, church wide e-mails, text, phone calls, Facebook, etc.)
Develop a team of students and volunteers to help
Time Commitment: 2-4 hrs weekly
Recruiter
Help oversee the volunteer process
Time Commitment: 1 hr weekly
Resource Room Leader (PS, K)
Organize and maintain the resource and activity storage
Encourage resource room attendants
Time Commitment: 1 hr weekly or bi-weekly

Schedule volunteers and manage service calendar
