Get Involved!
1. Volunteers for Sunday morning: Especially during the church service hour. Lessons and materials are already prepared, so there isn't any prep work for volunteers--just come and love on the kids! (Must be trained by special needs director and fill out age graded application with background check.) 2. Leadership team: People committed to praying for and serving in the ministry with a more defined role than volunteering once a six weeks. (small group teacher--teach during small group hour; prayer coordinator--pray for ministry and volunteers, visit small groups and ask them to pray; managing coordinator--remind volunteers of their week to serve, help find substitutes) 3. Financial resources: toys and materials for people with special needs are very expensive, especially those designed for lower functioning individuals. 4. Awareness: Tell small group, friends, and others in community that we have a special needs ministry!Our Current Needs are:
