Access - Special Needs Ministry

Access Ministry

Access is a developing ministry at FBC. It is designed to meet the unique needs of individuals with disabilities and their families.  

Currently we offer two meeting times on Sunday mornings: 10-11:15 for Worship and 11:15-12:15 for Small Groups.  We also offer Access during Grow Point on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8pm.

While attending an Access class, students will learn about the Bible and a relationship with Christ in a safe and fun environment that is tailored to his or her needs.  We also incorporate areas of service because Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are all created to serve through Christ.   Lessons are based on the age graded curriculum of the church and are designed to maximize each student's strengths and abilities!  

As appropriate, students are paired with a buddy and accompanied to the general age graded programming.  Each Access volunteer has been trained to work with individuals with special needs.

Need to be refreshed?  Our Refresh Respite night is for you!

Refresh is for kids with special needs (birth-12th grade) and their siblings (birth-8th grade)!  We have dinner, activities, a fun lesson, games, and play time in the Ark.  All for free!  Refresh is on the 2nd Friday of the month, from 5:30-8pm.  Join us March 9th, April 13th, May 11th, and June 8th this spring!  SIGN UP HERE!
